John Barrett is a commercial real estate veteran, having worked in the industry for more than 20 years. He began his brokerage career at Massey Knakal (now Cushman & Wakefield) where he led the top ranked firms expansion into Westchester County. He began working for RM Friedland in 2018 to spearhead the growth of the firms Investment Sales Division. John specializes in the sale of income producing assets of all types: multi-family, retail, office, development sites and industrial properties in Westchester & Fairfield Counties and throughout the Hudson Valley. Over the course of his career, he has evaluated and marketed over 1 billion dollars worth of commercial real estate.
John has represented institutional clients, such as the Archdiocese of New York, private equity groups, partnerships, estates, and financial institutions such as Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Key Bank CPC (Community Preservation Corporation), PCSB, RAIT Financial Trust, Happy State BankGoldstar and Greystone Bank. He has also worked with special services such as LNR and Situs in the sale of Senior Notes, Subordinate Notes, Non-Performing Loans and REO properties.
