Reid's path into commercial real estate is not what you'd expect. After graduating from the University of Alabama with an advertising degree, he was off to New York City where he was hired by Group M, the world's leading media investment company. He managed big accounts like Dyson and Colgate but wondered how it would translate into a long-term career.

After spending three years in New York, Reid decided the city was too much hustle and bustle, so he headed to Richmond, Virginia to spend time with his mom and stepdad. Being an avid golfer, his stepdad connected him with a friend who managed First Tee, a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people. This was perfect, he could play the game he loved while giving back to the community and volunteering with First Tee.

As time marched on he was ready to return to his roots in Birmingham and begin working on his professional career. Although his focus was shifting, Reid's passion for the mission of First Tee traveled with him. He plans on expanding the organization to Birmingham and make a difference in our communities with the passion he has for the game of golf.

With his passion decided, it was time to focus on his career. His mom sold residential real estate for years so when a friend told him to consider property management, he was enthusiastic to explore some opportunities. Reid reached out to LAH's Commercial Broker, Austin Blair. Austin didn't have any property management positions available, but he explained the commercial real estate industry and Reid decided to join the LAH Commercial team.

Bill Warren quickly took Reid under his wing and along with other commercial agents to make his transition into the business has been seamless. It's only been a little over a year and his business is flourishing even with Covid-19. He is very dedicated to his clients; previewing commercial properties, reaching out to his network and making deals happen. Reid says things are starting to pick up and he's excited about his future. He and his fiance, Harriet, are getting married in December and discussing getting a dog sooner rather than later.
