ABOUT COMMERCIAL AGENT Jay Cahan

Jay Cahan founded HC&M Commercial Properties, Inc in 1994 to focus on the ever-changing San Francisco OfficeIndustrialCommercial Real Estate market. He has been active in the Bay Area Real Estate Market since 1988 when he graduated from UC Berkeley. His career commenced in 1988 at BT Commercial Real Estate specializing in office and industrial leasing and sales where he remained until 1994 when he started HC&M Commercial Properties, Inc. in San Francisco. A Marin County resident, Jay continues to be involved in the San Francisco and Marin non-profit community and is currently serving (the last 10 plus years) on the board of Side by Side (a 125 year old Marin based service organization focused on the needs of children and youth).

HC&M Commercial is a 14-person Commercial Real Estate Office which has consistently been one of the top producing boutique firms In San Francisco. In 2019 alone, Jay was individually responsible for over 100 million dollars of real estate transactions and has consistently been the leader in dollar volume and number of transactions in the office while still managing the rest of the successful individuals in the office.

Jay also founded and manages LC Investments, a three person residential real estate company serving the Bay Area for the last 18 years.

Jay is a minority partner in a number of small San Francisco businesses and owns commercial and residential investment property himself. He is married with two children.
