Ellermanns Clients range from early career local clients, to syndications and medical funds, national banks and major healthcare systems, REITS, Institutional Clients, Asian private equity platforms, regional and local franchises, and local business owners medical doctorsspecialists, attorneys, and industrial tenantsdistributors. David is also an active investor in his market alongside his trusted Clients. For example David is an owner of Great Central Brewing Company in the Fulton Market, the first Contract Brewing Facility in the city of Chicago. David initially provided tenant advisory services and consulting with its Founder 3 years ago, and has completed MOB investment sales with Northwestern Hospital and other medical groups with the same Client. He maintains his trusted friendship here for 12 years since entering the medical office investment arena. David even brought this Client and their securities attorney onto his hockey team, and has continued with syndication acquisition deals to date via additional value add and sale-leaseback investment sales.

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, is a CCIM JWL Academy of Leadership graduate, and instructs CCIM coursework with the CCIM JWL Academy of Leadership faculty at the Institute in Chicago. Prior to founding Ellermann Brokerage, David was President and in-house leasing broker for his market areas largest office lessor; leading the local community in absorption and leasing volume as the 1 landlord representative broker agency. Ellermann lived and breathed his craft wearing the cap of the Landlord; learning the dynamic and sophistication of understanding transactions from the Ownership perspective, while concurrently maintaining an additional book of business MOBoffice, industrial, and investment sale representation. Ellermann Brokerage brought a local office campus from an REO purchase to a 100 leased, performing asset inside of 14 months during the heart of the recession 2011 during his tenure here. Among the quarter million square feet in this developers portfolio, Ellermann maintained all properties to an average, stabilized 97 occupancy in a market with a 20 vacancy rate. With that, Ellermann completed and exceeded his duties in his 2 year term contract agreement, and went on from there to open the doors to his own firm.
Davids values were built on faith, family, education, and service. He also is a major advocate of philanthropy and community involvement. He ran the last 8 out of 9 Chicago Marathons, helping raise over $40,000 for the greater good through organizations like PanCAN Pancreatic cancer action network, American Cancer Society, and Susan G. Komen. For the past 4 years he has visited and provided yearly scholarships to the University of Illinois Rho Epsilon Real Estate organization with his CCIM team. He is also active with Catholic charities and education fundraising endeavors. He enjoys his free time spending time with his family, working, traveling, snowboarding, climbing, playing drums in his band, sipping IPAs, and playing in his mens league ice hockey team. David resides in the West Loop downtown Chicago, and remains very active in the Western Suburban office market where he used to call home.
