There are areas in the WMA for duck & other small game hunting and fishing on the Larto/Saline Complex is well known to be great, especially for crappie. While the camp sits on the north shore of this great public hunting & fishing complex, this Retreat is also conveniently located within driving distance to many other State & Federal public hunting and fishing opportunities such as Catahoula Lake, Catahoula NWR, Cocodrie NWR, & the Richard Yancey State WMA.
