Wes Babb, a retail brokerage professional with extensive experience in retail commercial real estate in Central Texas, is a Senior Vice President with Weitzman in Austin. In this position, Babb specializes in the acquisition and development of land by Weitzman and its partners. He also focuses on retail real estate investment brokerage and tenant representation.
During his more than 20 years of brokerage work, Babb has been involved in the acquisition and disposition of more than 4 million square feet of retail property valued in excess of $600 million. He also has directed the acquisition of approximately 50 pad sites for ground-up development in the Austin and San Antonio markets for clients including banks and fast-casual restaurants. In terms of
new development, Babb has been a key part of the development of more than 1.3 million square feet of retail property, including Shops at the Galleria, anchored by Lowes, Michaels, Marshalls, Best Buy and others in the Bee Cave market; Frontier Crossing, anchored by Walmart Supercenter; Red Oak Village, a San Marcos project anchored by Best Buy, Sams Club, Ross and others; and Northcross Mall, a redevelopment project anchored by Walmart Supercenter.
Prior to joining Weitzman, Babb managed the retail division in Austin and San Antonio for Lincoln Property Company, in addition to his brokerage work.
