ABOUT COMMERCIAL AGENT Michael Boyd

Mike Boyd is the Founder and Principal of Boyd Commercial, LLC, a commercial real estate brokerage firm based in Houston, Texas. He has been active in the commercial real estate industry since 1972 and is a nationally recognized specialist in industrial property brokerage. Prior to launching the firm in 1977, he was an industrial broker in the Houston office of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Group.

Mike has played a significant role in some of the industry's most prestigious trade and professional organizations. He served as the International Chairman of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) in 1999 and President of CORFAC International, a global network of 60 independent commercial real estate brokerage firms serving markets across North America, Europe and the Far East. In addition, he has been the Chairman of the Commercial Investment Division of the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR), a Board Member of the Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) and Chairman of Commercial Gateway. As a national instructor and Trustee of the Education Foundation of SIOR, Mike was selected twice as SIOR Instructor of the Year. In 2006, Mike received the Distinguished Service Award for Devoted and Exceptional Services from CORFAC International.

He has won several SIOR awards for significant transactions, including Largest International Transaction 1999 and 2006, Largest Other Transaction 1999, Largest Investment Transaction 1998 and the Largest Intra-city Industrial Transaction 1996. He was the Commercial Professional of the Year for HAR in 1993, Industrial Broker of the Year for the Houston Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals (NAIOP) in 1992 and 2000, and inducted into its Broker Hall of Fame in 2012. Mike also won the Lone Star Award for the Best Commercial Transaction in Texas in 2000 and 2013 which were awarded by the Texas Association of Realtors.

Mike achieved his professional designations of Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) in 1997 and SIOR in 1980. Mike is a past Chairman of the Real Estate Research Advisory Committee at Texas A & M University and is a Trustee of the Boyd Foundation Charitable Trust.
