Through high school he was a member of the high school rodeo team as a bull rider. He moved to Arizona in 1982 and attended Mesa Community College and Miller Institute followed by a few years with Motorola. His passions are family, friends, guitar, archery, hunting, fly fishing and real estate. He spends many hours each year helping build and support the YoungLife Organization, which is a Christian youth-based organization that ministers to high school kids. He resides in Scottsdale with his three children.
