Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, he was a 4th generation hardwood floor business employee for over two decades. John took that opportunity to familiarize himself with techniques in communication, money handling, timeliness, and delivering quality service. The unique opportunity afforded him the chance to build a loyal customer base and thusly benefit his community. From there, John saw success directing a distribution company, which he would later sell in 2011. The sale was not Johns first journey into the Real Estate market, however. John had been buying Real Estate for some time prior to the sale, and began to manage investment properties. To date, he manages a seasoned portfolio, and has bought & sold multiple properties as well. From these opportunities, John has a great understanding of what is expected of effective contracts and how important it is to listen and work for the clients needs by utilizing his own skills and traits, in addition to the tools of the reputable Berkshire family.
John loves his community nearly as much as his family and feels they both provide him perspective and compassion. Currently living in Odessa with his beautiful wife, of nearly 17 years, Rebecca, and their two children; John Thomas IV and Cally, John says he is blessed to have their love and support. In the community, John finds passion in being involved as a Master Mason for 25 years (Lodge #25) and a Shriner since 2010. The existence of the Shrine to help children with specialized medical care around North America. Internationally, John is involved with Advocates of Love (An orphanage located in the Dominican Republic) since 2012. This highly emotional experience has greatly humbled him and has helped to stretch his character as an individual. Combined, these day-to-day passions make clear Johns genuine care for his customers.
