JoAnn S. Wheless
Prior to joining the Sealy Companies, Jo Ann was the principal broker and partner of Burt-Langston Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Services in Shreveport, managing three branch offices and thirty residential real estate agents. Jo Ann has been with the Sealy Companies since 1987 and lists, sells, and leases retail and commercial properties in the Shreveport and Bossier City markets. As a specialist in the retail market, Jo Ann provides her clients with a wide array of valuable services, including site selection and contractlease negotiations, marketing plans, consultations and space evaluations, and zoning and planning coordination.
She is a three-time presenter for the Retail Portion of the Biannual Real Estate Trends Conference. Jo Anns comprehensive understanding of the retail market and her relationships and experience with her national, regional and local clients has enabled her to broker many significant land and retail building sales throughout the Shreveport-Bossier City market including a regional mall and several shopping centers.
Jo Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from McNeese State University. She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS, Louisiana REALTORS Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers. She is a former president of the Northwest Louisiana Association of Realtors and its Commercial Investment Division and a recipient of the Northwest Louisiana Association of Realtors Realtor of the Year award.
Her civic affiliations include her roles as past president and board member of the Shreveport Green affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, past recipient of the State of Louisiana Diane Chandler Award for Beautification and Environmental Awareness, civil service board member and secretary for the Caddo Parish Fire Protection District #2, board member for the Lakeview Community Association, sustaining member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier County, past board member of Southfield School and a member of the Shreveport Yacht Club. She is also a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church.
