ABOUT COMMERCIAL AGENT Harry Drake

Harry Drake is the Executive Vice PresidentStrategy and Planning of Block Real Estate Services, LLC BRES and has been associated with the firm since 1999. He is a Principal in Block Funds and a member of the BRES Executive Committee. Harry leverages over 39 years of hands-on experience and knowledge in property operations, management and ownership with a strategic asset management approach when implementing solutions to his client's challenges.

His responsibilities include development, implementation, and oversight of corporate strategy for BRES Kansas City, Block Hawley BRES St. Louis affiliate, Block Atlanta BRES Atlanta asset management operation, Block Multifamily Group, Block Maintenance Solutions, and other company subsidiaries.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Harry oversees a team of over 20 directorsmanagers administering the implementation and delivery of asset and property management services for a portfolio exceeding 24 million square feet of commercial space and over 1,800 multifamily housing units located in the metropolitan areas of Kansas City, Missouri, St. Louis, Missouri, Atlanta, Georgia, and Phoenix, Arizona.

Harry also coordinates the response of BRES's distressed asset services team. He has served as a court appointed receiver for commercial properties totaling in excess of one million square feet securing debt in excess of $75 million located in the Kansas City and St. Louis Metropolitan areas. He has represented tenants and landlords in lease negotiations, lease audits, and property performance audits and coordinates physical due diligence for Block Fund and BRES syndicated acquisitions.
Harry holds professional designations of Certified Property Manager CPM and Certified Commercial Investment Member CCIM and is a licensed real estate broker in both Missouri and Kansas. Harry is a graduate of Michigan State University's College of Business, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutions Management, and attended the Rockhurst University, Executive Fellows MBA program.

Prior to joining BRES he was Executive Vice President of MC Real Estate Services in Kansas City, where he was responsible for corporate strategic planning, new business development and property management oversight. Harry has also worked as the Director of Property Management with Jones & Company where he was responsible for oversight of the Corporate Woods Office Park in Overland Park, Kansas. He began his commercial real estate career with Trizec Properties on assignments in Detroit, Michigan, Kansas City, Missouri and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In December 2012, Harry was inducted into the Midwest Real Estate News Hall of Fame. Harry is a former Commodore of the Missouri Yacht Club where he has served as an Officer or Director since 1998. He created and served as President of the Campaign for Lotawana, a not-for-profit volunteer organization created to address the City of Lake Lotawana, Missouri's budget challenges. As a former member of the Overland Park South Rotary, Harry has worked on numerous community projects including the Corporate Woods Jazz Festival and the Overland Park Fourth of July Celebration. In addition, he also completed the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce program, Leadership Overland Park.
