Following a 23 year career in corporate real estate Clint Murphy founded Murphy Land and Retail Services, Inc. in 2003. Beginning in 1979, he was a retail specialist with the Merrill Lynch Realty Commercial Investment Division, National Site Acquisition Manager for The Cedarwood Company, Real Estate Manager for Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation in charge of the development of the east coast of the United States for the first 5 years of its growth, DirectorOwner of Blockbuster Video TennesseeKentucky, and Executive Vice President of Development for Jacksonville based Sleiman Enterprises.
Current clients include Home Depot, Chili's, Starbucks, BurgerFi, Heartland Dental, Corner Bakery, Golden Corral, Yama's Greek, Jersey Mike's Subs, Culvers, Landrys Seafood, and Peterbrooke. Murphy completed his Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctorate studies at Florida State University where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow. He has been an active member of ICSC since 1983 and was on the Florida ICSC Program Committee for seven years. He served as 2005 ICSC Florida Conference Chairman as well as North Florida ICSC 2007 Conference Chairman. He served as Senior Advisor to Jacksonville ICSC NEXT GEN. He also serves on the Florida ICSC Government Affairs Committee. Murphy received a Distinguished
Citizen Award from the City of Miami Beach in 1992 for designing and developing an art deco shopping center. He is a member of the Florida State University Varsity Club, and is a past Board member of the Florida State University Retail Trends Conference. He was a member of the Florida State University tennis team and is an ex-NCAA and circuit player.
