The seniors housing development at Outback Oasis has a pending Planned Unit Development application expected to be approved by Fall 2019. A portion of the property contains the Outback Oasis Botanical Gardens, an unparalleled amenity to the seniors housing community.
The planned development is for an active adult seniors housing facility that may include independent living, assisted living and memory care. In addition to the existing Outback Oasis Botanical Gardens, the development is entitled for a maximum of 400 residential units, which could include a combination of condominiums, villas, townhomes, three-story assisted living facilities (with up to 250 units), bungalows, tennis courts, pickle-ball courts, and many trails, pools, and an amenity building situated on the Outback Oasis site. The project will have flexibility regarding the concept plan.
The property has been assembled and expertly designed and cultivated as the Outback Oasis Botanical Gardens by its Owner/Artist, Paul Schulz. Outback Oasis is a handicap accessible facility including restrooms. In addition to Outback Oasis, the remaining property has been enhanced with man-made ponds and lakes including a 10-acre catch & release stocked fishing lake, wetland recreation, tree preservation, and general maintenance. Outback Oasis is a truly unique and beautiful landscape amenity and it is central to the Active Adult and/or Assisted Living Facilities Development. The main attractions to the site are the kangaroo exhibit, butterfly garden, and lush tropical environment. The Outback Oasis is intended as the neighborhood focal point and amenity for the associated Seniors Housing Development and the community as a whole.
