Zach joined Block Real Estate Services, LLC (BRES) in 2005. He represents a variety of tenants, investors and buyers in site location and acquisition analysis and is currently the senior leasing agent for over 5 million square feet of industrial real estate throughout the Greater Kansas City Market. His clients have included local, regional and national companies and an extensive list of institutional and private equity owners. Zach has experience in development and redevelopment of mixed-use business parks, officewarehouses, and warehousedistribution facilities.
Before joining BRES, Zach worked with the real estate firms of KessingerHunter & Company and Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, specializing in industrial and land brokerage. Prior to his career in commercial real estate, he spent 10 years as a salesman at a local construction equipment company. Zach worked with property owners, contractors, and developers to find creative solutions to acquisition, construction, and maintenance challenges. His experience assisting, prospecting, and marketing to industrial users has benefited his clients in all types of real estate transactions.
Zach is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He currently serves as Treasurer for the Western MissouriKansas Chapter of SIOR. SIOR members have met the highest production requirements in the real estate industry, have completed an extensive program of education, and have been recommended for membership by demonstrating extensive knowledge and consistent ethical leadership in real estate transactions. Zach is also a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Heartland Roundtable of CSCMP. Zach received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is a licensed real estate professional in Kansas and Missouri. In 2012, he was honored as one of KC Business Magazine's Rising Stars.
Zach is a lifelong Kansas City resident and an established real estate professional. He lives in midtown Kansas City with his wife Jana and their two children Alistair and Emilie. Zach and Jana invest their time and resources in a variety of Kansas City area organizations and initiatives including Fashion for a Cause, the Czech & Slovak Club of Kansas City, Literacy Kansas City, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.
