ABOUT COMMERCIAL AGENT Richard Curran

Rich Curran joined Ripco in 2021. His career in real estate began in the 1980's when he began working with his father's commercial real estate brokerage company in Ridgewood, NJ. In the late 80's, Rich became a licensed real estate appraiser. From there, he grew the appraisal division of the company to include 16 appraisers across the northern half of New Jersey.

Rich's area of expertise is primarily in the field of brokering and advising on retail development sites. One deal he is particularly proud of is a multi-parcel property where he sold the property to a developer and guided the process to include the demolition of a portion of the in-place improvements and their replacement with a dual use building of a bank and a Starbucks. The unique feature aspect of this development was the direct access from the interior of the Starbucks to the bank's lobby. Research had proved that banking deposits were 17 higher if the bank was within walking distance to a Starbucks.
