John Cavin has been a Licensed Commercial Real Estate Broker with Southeast Venture in Nashville for 20 years and was employed in Corporate Real Estate positions for 10 years prior to that. John holds a BS in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and later got his MBA degree from the Owen School at Vanderbilt. John began his career in Real Estate in 1989 working first as a Property Manager for Taco Bell Corporation, then as Director of Real Estate for Rite Aid Drugs, and was Director of Real Estate for Dollar General for 5 years where he built more than 400 stores before launching out on his own as an independent Broker in 2001. Mr. Cavin has extensive experience in land development and building sales, resolving legal entanglements, shopping center development, lender-owned REO sales, corporate account management, retail franchise expansion, apartment projects, and cash-flow 1031 investing.
